5. If a candidate has appeared for one group of the CA Intermediate exam, he/she will be declared as "passed" only if he/she secures a minimum of 40% marks in each subject of that group and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all the subjects of that group.

Candidates who meet the above criteria will be considered as "passed" in the CA Intermediate exam and will be eligible to register for the CA Final course.

After the declaration of CA Intermediate Nov 2022 results, candidates who have cleared the exam will be eligible to register for the CA Final course.

The CA Final is the last level of the Chartered Accountancy course and comprises two groups, each consisting of four papers. Candidates who have cleared both groups of the CA Intermediate exam can register for the CA Final course.

Candidates who have cleared only one group of the CA Intermediate exam will need to clear the remaining group before they can register for the CA Final course.

After registering for the CA Final course, candidates will have to undergo a minimum of three years of practical training and complete various other requirements such as ITT and GMCS before they can appear for the CA Final exam.

Once the candidate successfully clears both groups of the CA Final exam and completes all other requirements, he/she will be eligible to apply for membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and become a qualified Chartered Accountant.
